TCMO collaborated with The Meltdown Young Producers a cohort of emerging creatives curated by Southbank Centre to co-design and deliver a sold-out night of live music and connection as part of Little Simz’s 2024 Meltdown Festival.
We worked collaboratively across programming, event design, and audience experience to transform the Southbank’s Queen Elizabeth Hall into a vibrant and intimate space for discovery.
The night platformed a range of genre-fluid, emerging artists from across London, including:
Abaka Debrah, Amario, Cleopatra, Dahlia Rae, Emmanuelle, Enkay, Idele, Krystal, Luthernist, Nina Hudson, TheSpeakers, and Zoiya.
✨ The Details:
Open mic slots and curated performances flowed throughout the night,
We activated Level 2 of Southbank with playful connection spaces, including TCMO-designed “chatter boxes” and a “Community Board” for audience members to leave messages, links and recommendations for each other.
Our approach prioritised organic connection from the artists to the crowd blurring the line between performer and participant.
This project reflected what we do best:
Creating warm, meaningful spaces where emerging talent is seen, audiences are invited to participate, and creative energy flows beyond the stage.
How do we create attract young audience to upcoming Southbank events, without making you feel FOMO?
Evergreen content!
6 VIDEOS
We developed a deck pitching 6 different content types to attract an audience of 16 - 25 year olds.
This included POV videos, UGC, Vox Pops (Community content).
AMPLIFYING VOICES IN REAL TIME
A chance to talk directly to our community, in realtime and platform them across collaborations with Southbank and our channels.

See Me Now
As part of Southbank’s Works in Progress series, TCMO curated and facilitated a night of introspective performance and open dialogue rooted in identity, expression and becoming.
Developed with The Meltdown Young Producers and programmed by TCMO members, SEE ME NOW held space for emerging artists to explore the complexities of visibility both on stage and in the world. Through spoken word, live music,
and discussion, performers reflected on what it means to be truly seen.
The evening featured:
DJ Sets from young multidisciplinary artists
Guided reflections and audience prompts curated by TCMO and Boundless Theatre
A warm, responsive environment that blurred the line between show and circle
We transformed Level 5 into a soft, intentional space where the mic felt like a mirror, and audience energy shaped the atmosphere just as much as the artists on stage.
This event continues TCMO’s mission to build affirming, youth-led creative environments where vulnerability, growth and experimentation are not only welcomed, but celebrated.

Common Ground
Part of the Works in Progress series, curated in collaboration with Boundless Theatre & Southbank Centre
TCMO x Badge Café
In Common Ground, TCMO partnered with Badge Café to create an interactive installation that asked: what do you have to give to the world?
As part of the Southbank Centre’s Works in Progress series, this offering transformed a quiet space into a collective tapestry of skills, kindness, and creativity. Participants were invited to reflect on their “gifts” whether it was photography, playlist curation, an ear to listen, styling support, or finance tips and hang them on a wall using illustrated luggage tags.
By the end of the night, the wall held dozens of handwritten offerings visual proof that we all have something of value to share. The space created a genuine sense of mutual exchange and connection among attendees, turning strangers into collaborators.
Impact:
✍🏽 Dozens of unique offers shared through luggage tags
🤝 Prompted meaningful interactions between creatives from all walks of life
🧠 Reinforced the event’s theme of shared growth and co-creation
💬 Inspired attendees to offer and receive support in unexpected ways
